Affinity Photo 2 Evaluation

 Affinity rocks!

Raw processing is far better and quicker than Lightroom.

  1. When I load an image with medium to high ISO,  straight away the output image looks smoother with much finer grains. The resultant image is sharper and not noisy. I’ve never seen anything like that, not even with DxO PhotoLab's legendary noise filter.
  2. Affinity is pretty flexible to support any workflow. I could do exactly what I want. The resultant document that holds a single image’s adjustments is < 1 MB. It will be much more efficient than chunky Lightroom catalogs from storage perspective.
  3. The BW processing options gave me more flexible capabilities that I can fine tune adjustments.
  4. The JPEG output quality is superb.
  5. The Affinity app is easy to use and so far very reliable, smart and responsive. There is no AI nonsense. Old school, just the way I wanted.

Finally I could ditch Adobe Photography Plan for good.
